Welcome to Hawaii’s organically grown Ka’u Gold Orange domestic and international work exchange and volunteer vacation Web site.

We encourage a diverse group of individuals from all over the US, Canada, and throughout the world to come here to learn organic food production and to network.

Ka’u Gold Orange in Hawaii on the Big Island has been growing organic oranges, tangeloes, and tangerines since 1979. We specialize in growing, packaging, and shipping organically grown designer delicious fruit.

June 2008 we began experimenting with citrus wines and meads.  Those experiments grew to include various fermentations including ginger flower, ginger root, passion fruit, lavender, tangelo, tangerine, orange, lime, etc., with the list growing.  Prior to licensing the first goal had to be to learn to ferment extraordinary wines and meads.  Our federally bonded winery license arrived via mail 4/13/2010.  January 6, 2011 our County of Hawaii Liquor Commission approved our winery. We still have to deal with certifying a warehouse as a kitchen.

As we are a drug free farm we require initial and on going drug testing.
